Check us out before you trust us
You're about to give a company you've never heard of your NI number and the right to talk to HMRC for you. Fair enough to be suspicious. Every claim below can be checked on a public register in a few minutes, without taking our word for it.
We're still completing our registrations. Until every line below has a number, we won't act for anyone or ask you to pay. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you the moment we're ready.
| What | Ours | How to check it |
|---|---|---|
| Company | pending | Search the company number on Companies House: it shows the directors and registered office. Open the register |
| Registered office | pending | Matches the Companies House record. |
| Anti-money-laundering supervisor | pending | Tax advisers must be supervised for anti-money-laundering. HMRC publishes the businesses it supervises. Open the register |
| HMRC agent | pending | We act through an HMRC Agent Services Account. HMRC only accepts us as your agent once you give us the authorisation code HMRC posts to you. Nothing happens without you. |
| Professional indemnity insurance | pending | Covers the work we file and the enquiry cover we promise. We'll send the certificate on request. |
| Data protection (ICO) | pending | Search the ICO register of fee payers. Open the register |
| Named tax adviser | pending | A qualified adviser signs off every return. Chartered Tax Advisers and ATT members can be checked with the CIOT/ATT. Open the register |
| VAT | pending | Our prices include VAT where we are registered. Open the register |
What we will never do
- Ask for your Government Gateway password. You never share it with an agent.
- Ask for your HMRC authorisation code by phone, text or email. You type it into your account yourself.
- Take your refund. HMRC pays it straight to you; we bill you separately.
- File anything you haven't seen and approved.
- Tell you to claim when losing your personal allowance means you'd be worse off.
Talk to a human
Use the contact form. A person replies within one working day, and if HMRC ever writes to you about a claim we filed, we deal with it at no extra cost, even if you've gone home.
